M0L3D4Y! (blogpostoneone)

Today is a great day. Today is an excellent day. TODAY IS...MOLE DAY! AKA 6.02 x 10^23 (the number of atoms in a 12 gram sample of Carbon - 12). We should have had a party in chemistry to celebrate this great achievement by Amedeo Avagadro.

But that's not what I'm supposed to discuss. Instead, I shall talk about the flame test. I could be considered a pyromaniac because I like fire. My favorite was the burning of strontium. I loved the rosy, red color of the element. Copper also burned a gorgeous sea green color that reminded me of mermaids. I find it very interesting how different elements emit certain photons and colors of light.

On a lighter note, today was the homecoming rally. It was enjoyable! :D

Hello.

This past week has been quite chaotic. I really do not feeling like talking about it in detail, so let's sum it up by saying I missed a block day of chemistry. While I did not actually do the lab, I received the data from Marcia and my usual lab partners and graphed that information. What else did I miss?...the stamping of my 19.2 notes. I must get that done. Apparently, I missed a video about Einstein. Dangit, I wanted to watch that. If it was like the video on Lavoisier, it would be really interesting. I like history. Of course, I like chemistry as well...
Argh, I'm too depressed right now to talk. Sugar crash.

Although, I just came back from the PTO dinner. It was great. Tons of international food and I loved Ms Lighty's dance class. I would very much like to join that class next year. However, I only want to take six periods and I am still in need of an elective. How does journalism sound? Or perhaps photography. Child development? Nutrition? Ahh, good thing junior year is still more than a semester and a half away. And summer too...

Well, I don't want to bore anyone with this post. Au revoir.

I am in Japanese class...

...and I am blogging about chemistry. LOL, it's not my fault that we already finished our script. Krystina and I decided to go all-out loser/nerd/psychopath, and wear costumes to school today (we had to, youth meeting after school and they wanted us to dress up). Although, Lisa stole my dark fairy wings for second through fifth period...I get to wear them during sixth and seventh (heck yeah!). Plus, my insane "antenna" headband. O_O Krystina is wearing a suit, complete with a top hat. xD And she's too far away to hear me laughing about how insane she looks.

そうですか。今日はあついです。

Time to stop being w@p. <- that's a whole other blog post, but I won't bore about this and instead talk about chemistry. We are currently learning about radioactivity. I don't quite understand. I just know the terms, such as alpha particles, beta particles, and gamma ray production. Perhaps I should study on this subject more.

Although I did good on the last test. Quite surprising, considering I was not certain of the answers for a good number of them. I am proud in myself. Too bad A+'s still count as 4.0 on your GPA. T_T -just learned that fact today- Oy..
